Excavation, Grading & Field Operations
DOZER GRADING AFTER LAND CLEARING
Watch JDP Clearing & Excavation grade a cleared lot. The dozer blade cuts down high spots, moves loose soil into lower areas, and spreads the material through overlapping passes. Aerial and close-up views show the operator shaping and smoothing the ground for the next phase of sitework. This 24-second video shows grading in progress.
Planning Field Production
This project gallery highlights JDP Clearing & Excavation LLC’s field operations across excavation, grading, trenching, pipe-placement support, active earthwork, and equipment readiness. The photos are intended to show the type of construction-oriented site preparation JDP performs with its own labor and equipment, not to suggest that every pictured activity is included on every project. Each job is reviewed against the current civil drawings, scope package, access conditions, earthwork requirements, haul routes, work-hour restrictions, erosion and sediment-control requirements, and the general contractor’s sequence before mobilization.
Excavation and grading work can include bulk earthmoving, rough grading, fine grading, trench excavation, backfill, drainage-related excavation, and preparation of areas for follow-on trades when those items are included in JDP’s written proposal or subcontract. Field production is planned around safe equipment access, workable staging, material movement, and the condition required at handoff. Equipment inspection and maintenance are also part of reliable field execution because downtime on a dirt or utility operation can quickly affect the larger construction schedule.
Request a Project Proposal
JDP’s normal role is to provide labor, equipment, supervision, and field production for the accepted scope. Permanent materials such as pipe, structures, stone, concrete, and asphalt are typically furnished by the general contractor or owner unless the written proposal states otherwise. JDP serves Richmond and Central Virginia and evaluates selected commercial, municipal, industrial, agricultural, rural, and multi-phase projects elsewhere in Virginia when the scope supports mobilization.
