JDP supports general contractors and project owners with coordinated clearing and grubbing, demolition, excavation, grading, erosion and sediment control, and site utility support. Richmond and Central Virginia are our core market; selected projects elsewhere in Virginia are reviewed for scope and mobilization. JDP is a VDOT-prequalified contractor, vendor J2215.
We provide labor, equipment, and supervision for the work included in the accepted subcontract. The GC or owner furnishes permanent materials unless JDP includes them in writing. Plans, specifications, work limits, exclusions, quantities, and responsibility for hauling or disposal should be clear before pricing. Design, engineering, and permitting stay with the responsible project team unless specifically included.
Our approach starts with defining the scope, planning equipment access and the construction sequence, and identifying coordination points with other trades. We communicate progress and changing field conditions so the project team can review impacts and agree on changes to the work.
