JDP Clearing & Excavation LLC provides roadway, highway and right-of-way clearing for general contractors and infrastructure project teams. Richmond and Central Virginia are our core service area. Selected projects elsewhere in Virginia are reviewed for scope, access, schedule and mobilization.

We provide labor, equipment and supervision for tree and brush removal, clearing and grubbing, stump excavation, and debris handling within the approved work limits.

Clearing for roadway and highway construction

JDP supports clearing packages for new roads, roadway widening, bridge approaches, access roads and related infrastructure work. Before pricing, we review clearing limits, retained trees, required grubbing depth, equipment access, utility conflicts and the condition required for follow-on earthwork.

Chipping, hauling, disposal and rough site preparation are included only as identified in the written proposal.

Right-of-way clearing and construction sequencing

Linear clearing requires coordination between access, environmental restrictions, erosion controls and the next construction activity. JDP reviews the work sequence with the project team so clearing can be coordinated with excavation and grading and erosion and sediment control when those scopes are included.

Define the clearing package before mobilization

Send the project location, current plans and addenda, clearing acreage or corridor limits, stump requirements, hauling and disposal responsibilities, bid deadline and anticipated start date.

The GC or owner furnishes materials unless JDP includes them in writing. Traffic control and maintenance of traffic are excluded unless specifically included. E&S installation, stabilization and additional earthwork are identified separately when requested.
