Forestry & Brush Clearing — Work Examples

These field photos show forestry mulching equipment, brush handling, work among standing trees, and cleared woodland edges. They illustrate the difference between opening up overgrown ground and preparing a site for excavation or construction.

Choose the Right Clearing Scope

The right clearing method depends on what needs to remain and how the ground will be used afterward. Before pricing, JDP reviews the clearing limits, vegetation density, equipment access, trees to preserve, and the required treatment of stumps, roots, and woody debris. Mulching and brush cutting do not automatically include stump excavation, root raking, grading, or offsite disposal. Those items are defined in the written scope.

Discuss Your Property

JDP Clearing & Excavation serves Richmond and Central Virginia with labor, equipment, and supervision for accepted clearing and sitework scopes. For a pasture, wooded lot, access route, or commercial property, send the location, approximate area, current photos or plans, desired finished condition, and schedule. We can review whether brush clearing, clearing and grubbing, or additional grading belongs in the proposal.
