Recent Commercial Clearing & Sitework
This portfolio project highlights recent JDP Clearing & Excavation LLC commercial clearing and sitework capability in Central Virginia. JDP supports general contractors and developers with construction-oriented clearing and grubbing, tree and stump removal, excavation, rough grading, erosion and sediment-control field work, selective demolition, drainage-related excavation, utility excavation, and coordinated site preparation when those items are included in the accepted scope.
Planning Field Production
Field production is planned around the actual conditions that control cost and schedule. Those conditions can include site access, wet or soft ground, haul routes, environmental limits, debris disposition, available staging space, nearby work by other trades, work-hour restrictions, and the grade or handoff condition required by the project. JDP’s equipment-first operating model is intended to keep clearing, excavation, trucking, grading, and follow-on operations coordinated so material is not handled repeatedly and one phase does not unnecessarily block the next.
For bid invitations, JDP reviews the current civil plans, clearing limits, earthwork requirements, erosion and sediment-control sheets, utility information, demolition requirements, disposal assumptions, access restrictions, schedule, and commercial requirements before pricing. That review is used to define what JDP will self-perform and what remains with the general contractor, owner, designer, or other trades.
Request a Project Proposal
JDP generally provides labor, equipment, supervision, and field production for the accepted subcontract scope. Permanent materials such as pipe, structures, stone, concrete, and asphalt are normally furnished by the general contractor or owner unless the written proposal specifically includes them. Richmond and Central Virginia remain JDP’s primary market, with selected statewide projects considered when the project size and scope justify mobilization.
