Heavy Civil & Pipeline Experience Behind JDP Clearing & Excavation

The experience behind a sitework contractor matters long before the first machine starts moving dirt. JDP Clearing & Excavation is built around field experience in heavy civil and pipeline work, where production, access, sequencing, safety requirements, equipment readiness, and coordination all have to work together.

Before building JDP, owner Jarod Poulin worked in pipeline and heavy-civil operating environments. That background continues to shape how JDP approaches commercial land clearing, excavation, grading, erosion and sediment control, demolition, drainage-related work, and site utility support across Central Virginia and selected projects statewide.

On an active project, clearing is not just tree removal and excavation is not just moving material. Each operation affects haul routes, staging, erosion-control measures, utility work, access for follow-on trades, and the schedule. JDP reviews those connections before mobilization so the field plan matches the project documents and the conditions on the ground.

JDP's current work is centered on practical self-performed field capability: clearing and grubbing, stump and debris handling, excavation, rough and fine grading, demolition, E&S support, drainage-related excavation, and labor-and-equipment support for site utilities when included in the subcontract scope.

The goal is straightforward: leave each work area ready for the next operation, communicate scope changes before they become surprises, and support the general contractor with a crew and equipment package that can adapt to real jobsite conditions.

JDP Clearing & Excavation serves Richmond and Central Virginia and evaluates select commercial, municipal, industrial, agricultural, rural, and multi-phase opportunities throughout Virginia. General contractors and project teams can send plans, project location, requested scope, schedule, and bid deadline through the website for review.
