At JDP Clearing & Excavation, field capability is only part of the job. Clients also need to know what was priced, what is happening next, what changed, and what the site will look like when our scope is complete.

That is why we use a defined customer-experience standard called The JDP Way. It is built around four commitments: Clarity, Fairness, Communication, and Predictability.

Clarity

We define the scope, assumptions, exclusions, responsibilities, and major work limits before mobilization. When practical, we use marked plans, takeoff exhibits, or visual scope maps so the project team can see where JDP's work begins and ends.

Fairness

Construction conditions change. When work falls outside the contracted scope, we explain what changed, why it was not included, what we recommend, the pricing basis, and any schedule impact. The objective is straightforward: changed work should not become a surprise invoice.

Communication

Active projects receive progress communication appropriate to the pace and complexity of the work. We report completed work, current work areas, upcoming activities, site conditions, coordination needs, and potential cost or schedule impacts.

Predictability

JDP coordinates clearing, excavation, grading, erosion-and-sediment-control support, utilities, demolition, and related sitework with the larger construction sequence. When field conditions change, the project team should understand what that means for the next operation.

What clients can expect from estimate through closeout

A clearly written scope with assumptions, exclusions, alternates, and responsibilities.
Visual scope maps or marked plans when they improve coordination.
Preconstruction confirmation of access, haul routes, work limits, utilities, E&S requirements, sequencing, and site contacts.
Scheduled progress updates for multi-day, commercial, municipal, or coordination-heavy work.
Plain-language change-order guidance before significant additional work proceeds whenever conditions allow.
A defined closeout process covering cleanup, punch-list items, approved additional work, final photos, and the handoff to the next phase.

Ready for the next phase

Our objective is not simply to finish JDP's portion of the work. It is to leave the project team with a site that is ready for the next phase and a clear understanding of what was completed, what changed, and what remains.
